Introduction:-

From, last so many years I.C.(INTEGRATED CIRCUIT) are use in electronics. It save the space in all circuit. All component are connected in inside so there are no difficulty to joint various component. Transistor, Resistor, Diod, etc are included in I.C.(INTEGRATED CIRCUIT). So, over all cost is less.

Need of I.C.(Integrated circuit):-

After develop of I.C. there are so many changes occurs in ELECTRONICS. The size of all electronics component is become small(tiny). So, the uses of space, time consume in making of component, cost of components are also decrease. As well as reliability is also increase, and fault finding time, repairing time is also decrease.
All of this reasons I.C. become most important component in electronics.

Advantages of I.C(Integrated circuits):-

1). It save space and weight.
2). All component are fabricated in one chip. So, production time is become less.
3). There are no point to point wiring. So reliability become more.
4). All various component are connected in inside of I.C. (Integrated circuits). So, over all
      cost is decrease as compare to other component.
5). It can work on high temperature(as per it's range).
6). The layout of circuit is become easy after use of I.C.
7). Need of  power for operation is less. It can operate in very small power.

Disadvantages of I.C.(Integrated circuits):-

1). If I.C. made one time, there are not possible to do any changes in I.C.
2). If one component is fail in I.C. , that means all over I.C. is fail.
3). We cannot fabricate CAPACITOR in I.C. which value is more thane 30 Piko faraday.
4). Also we cannot fabricate INDICATOR in I.C. because of it (Indicator's) properties.
5). At now we cannot made I.C. which is more than 10W efficiency.

Classification of liner I.C.s:-

Classification of linert I.C. is below:-

1). Operational amplifier:-

                -This types of I.C. is developed first.
                -This is very famous I.C.
                -This is 741 I.C.

2). Differential  op-amp:-

                -This types of I.C's input impedance is very high.
                -Open loop gain is also high.

3). Audio power amplifier:- 

                -This is used to amplify audio frequency.
                -This I.C. is made for 7Vott or more.
                -Audio power amplifier types I.C. is LM 380, TBA 810, etc

4). High frequency amplifier:-

                -It is also called Video amplifier.
                -It's frequency range is between DC - MHz.
                -MC 1553, LM 733, etc are types of High frequency amplifier.

5). RF and IF amplifier:-

                -This types of I.C is use as primary stage in AM, FM, & T.V.  
                -In LM 703 RF and IF I.C. is one type of amplifier.

6). Voltage regulator:-

                -This types of I.C. is used in regulated power supply.
                -Example LM 340, 78 XX, 79 XX, 723 etc.

                     Instead, of this various I.C is developed for various use. Like instrumentation amplifier, TV receiver circuit, digital panel meter, calculator, etc.

How does smps working?


 SMPS (SWITCHED MODE POWER SUPPLY)

  • It is use as voltage control circuit. Our electric appliences are design to run on it's rated voltage. but when some changes occur in voltage it may harm for our device.
  • So we must have to use voltage controller. So it oppose the change of value.
  • SMPS is one of the this type device. It oppose the change of value.

  1. TRANSFORMER
  2. RECTIFIER
  3. CHOPPER
  4. FERRITE CORED STEP DOWN TRANSFORMER
  5. SAMPLING NETWORK
